DPF Bung Repair Done Right.
Restore Your Filter—Don’t Replace It.
Over time, DPF sensor ports (known as bungs) can become stripped, cross-threaded, corroded, or damaged during removal. Instead of replacing your entire filter housing, we offer precise bung repair services that restore the port’s integrity—saving you time and money.
What’s a Bung and Why Does It Matter?
Bungs are welded ports on your DPF that house critical sensors—pressure, temperature, and NOx.
If these ports are damaged:
Our Bung Repair Process:
1. Removal & Inspection
We carefully remove the damaged bung and inspect the sensor port to assess whether it’s stripped, cross-threaded, or corroded.
2. Thread Repair or Cut
Depending on the damage, we re-thread the bung or make a clean cut to prepare the area for precise welding and sealing.
3. TIG-Welded Replacement
A new stainless-steel bung is TIG-welded into the housing to ensure strength, alignment, and long-term sensor compatibility.
4. Seal & Pressure Test
The repair is sealed and pressure-tested to confirm it’s leak-free, reliable, and ready for service on the road or in the shop.
